The gold award recipients were Berbee - a CDW Company, Eurodata Systems, Incompass IT and SL Powers. The Best Practices Program is a global awards initiative designed to acknowledge innovation and excellence amongst managed service providers. Applicants were evaluated by an independent panel of industry experts in the areas of innovative business strategies, values and ethics, and customer satisfaction in addition to cost-effectiveness in service delivery.

Platinum award winner Getronics, a subsidiary of KPN and headquartered in Amsterdam, is a leading international provider of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services and solutions. “Getronics’ mission is to enable organizations to raise their performance and increase the productivity of their people, by facilitating information sharing and working together,” said Dick Boynton, vice president, Global Remote Infrastructure Services, Getronics. “Receiving this industry award reconfirms our commitment to delivering solid service and focusing on the needs of our clients’ IT environments.”

The judges also selected Alvaka Networks, located in Huntington Beach, California, as a platinum award recipient for its seasoned experience in managed services and success in high customer satisfaction. “We are honored to receive this award. The fact that many outstanding companies were considered for this award makes it more meaningful that we were recognized for our hard work and dedication to excellence in delivering the highest quality services to our customers,” said Oli Thordarson, president and CEO of Alvaka Networks.

The entries were judged independently by IT industry analyst Peter O’Neill of Forrester Research, Lisa Ericsson-Harris, research director of Enterprise Management Associates, Charles Weaver, president of the MSP Alliance and Mike Vizard, senior vice president and editorial director of Ziff Davis Media’s Enterprise Technology Group.

“It is our pleasure to sponsor an industry program that recognizes the value of customer service,” said Gary Read, president and CEO of Nimsoft. “The leadership that these managed service providers have demonstrated will set standards for others and for customers who want external expertise to manage their environments. We congratulate all the award recipients and thank the judges for their contributions.”
